SNYDER — The Coahoma Junior High School cross country team started the season by collecting seven top ten medals at the Western Texas College Invitational on Saturday.
Kian Mulkey led the Bulldog team with a time of 14 minutes, 33 seconds to finish the race in third place. Alex Porter (15:23), Ricky Rodriguez (15:30), and Kamdyn Martinez (16:27) rounded out the top ten Bulldog runners by placing fifth, sixth, and ninth in the race.
In the girls race, Channing Musgrove crossed the finish line in fifth place with a time of 17 minutes, 11 seconds. Riley Aguilar arrived five seconds later to secure sixth place. She clocked a race time of 17 minutes, 16 seconds. Lizzie Mashburn rounded out the top ten for the Bulldogettes with a time of 17 minutes, 23 seconds to earn seventh place.
Next up: The CJHS cross country runners will take a road trip to Big Spring for the Eric Stinson Invitational at Comanche Trail Park on Saturday.
