Kilpatrick, Renteria named to all-district first team 

Coahoma junior Bree Lewis shared All-District 3-3A outstanding offensive player honors after her performance for the 2024 season left a distinct impression on district coaches. 

In all, the Coahoma High School varsity volleyball team was well-represented for post season honors. 

Lewis shared the superlative award with Natalie Ceniceros of Denver City and Camille Kubacak of Odessa Compass Academy. 

A major asset for the Bulldogettes on both sides of the ball, Lewis tallied 380 kills for the season averaging 4.13 kills per set out of 31 games. She had 21 aces and recorded 232 assists, 20 single blocks, and 161 digs. 

Coahoma juniors Paityn Kilpatrick and Madi Renteria were a huge addition to the Bulldogette offensive arsenal. Both were named to the All-District 3-3A first team. Kilpatrick averaged 1.39 kills per set out of 28 games and recorded a total of 113 for the season. Renteria averaged 2 kills per set over 31 games and had a total of 185.

Both Coahoma athletes were a force at the net. Renteria had 53 block solos for the year, and Kilpatrick tallied 35. Renteria was also solid in the backcourt. She recorded 179 digs. 

Coahoma sophomore Gabby Cox was selected to the all-district second team. Three Bulldogettes earned honorable mention honors. They were senior Kaedyn Lee, sophomore Belle Holleman, and freshman Blakely Rodgers. 

Coahoma finished the season with an 18-13 record and an appearance in the UIL state volleyball playoff bi-district round under first-year head coach Katherine Renteria.

First Team: Madi Renteri — Coahoma, Paityn Kilpatrick — Coahoma, Mia Carmona — Denver City, Analee Larrea — Denver City, Dallas Williams — Compass Academy, Aubrey Moler — Compass Academy, Lucy Guzman — Brownfield, Kenzie Gutierrez —  Brownfield, Zoey Sifuentes — Lamesa.
