To all Parents and Guardians of all students at Coahoma Elementary School:
Please be aware that a terroristic threat of violence to be carried out against the school on April 15th was made on Coahoma Elementary School. The Howard County Sherriff’s Department was contacted to assist with the matter. The District considers all terroristic threats to be credible until demonstrated to be otherwise, and has begun implementing necessary safety measures at School. Law enforcement may conduct its own investigation into this matter and will determine if criminal charges are warranted. The District will pursue disciplinary action if a student has engaged in any misconduct concerning this threat. Coahoma ISD places student safety as a top priority. We will continue to work diligently with law enforcement authorities as needed and will endeavor to keep your students and our staff safe from harm.
