SNYDER — The Coahoma High School cross country team opened the season with a successful outing at the Western Texas College Invitational on Saturday.
Three Coahoma runners finished in the top ten of their respective races.
Abigail Bose led the Bulldogettes with a third place finish. The Coahoma junior ran the course in 15 minutes and 37 seconds. For the Bulldogs, Eddie Starr crossed the finish line in fourth place with a time of 21 minutes, 39 seconds while Tristan Gonzales ran the route in 22 minutes, 52 seconds to finish in seventh place.
Madison Bose had the second fastest time for the Bulldogettes. She ran the race in 16 minutes, 33 seconds to earn 11th place. NaeNae Arrendondo (17:04), Emma Rodriguez (17:16), Raelyn Quintero (18:41), and Andrea Rochelle (19:56) finished 14th, 15th, 21st, and 23rd respectively.
Next: The CHS cross country team will head to Big Spring for the Eric Stinson Invitational on Saturday. The meet will be held at Comanche Trail Park.
